AverageData ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it — in compliance with Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and applicable privacy laws including GDPR.

What we collect

When you create an account using Google or Facebook sign-in, we collect:

We do not collect passwords, payment information, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects anonymized data including pages visited, time spent on the site, device type, browser, approximate location (country/city level), and traffic source. This data is aggregated and not linked to your personal account.

GA4 uses cookies to track sessions across pages. By continuing to use AverageData after dismissing our cookie notice, you consent to this analytics data collection. You can opt out at any time via the cookie settings in your browser or by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data storage and retention

Your account data is stored securely using Google Firebase Firestore, hosted on Google's infrastructure. Firebase complies with GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 standards. Data may be stored on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics (Google's default), after which it is automatically deleted.

Third-party services

Children's privacy

AverageData is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at info@averagedata.com.

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify registered users of significant changes by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
